Cooler Temperatures Across Washington This Week with Frost Risk Weekend
Statewide
Temperatures across Washington will trend cooler through the middle and end of the week. Mild readings early in the period give way to a noticeable cool-down, especially after midweek. Frost or freeze conditions will need to be watched over the weekend into early next week in many areas.
Western Washington
High temperatures on Tuesday will range in the mid to upper 50s. Conditions turn slightly cooler on Wednesday with highs only in the low to mid 50s. The cooler trend continues into the weekend as an upper low lingers nearby.
Eastern Washington
A colder air mass moves in Tuesday night through Thursday, bringing highs down into the 40s and low 50s with overnight lows in the 30s. These cooler readings will hold for several days after the system passes. A warming trend is expected by Monday as conditions improve.
Columbia Basin
Cooling continues from Tuesday onward across the Basin. Highs over the weekend are expected to reach only into the low 50s. Overnight lows may dip into the upper 20s in lower elevations, raising the chance for frost or freeze conditions.
Coming Weekend
Temperatures become cooler statewide over the weekend. The threat for frost and freeze will need to be monitored from Saturday into early next week, particularly in valleys and the Columbia Basin. A slow warming trend may begin by Monday in eastern areas.
