No Severe Storms Expected Across the US Today
Nationwide
Today, October 31st, brings a quiet severe weather outlook for the whole United States. No severe thunderstorms are forecast anywhere, so damaging winds, large hail, or tornadoes are not expected. Ordinary storms may still develop in a few scattered spots, but they should stay mild and not cause serious problems for most people.
Lower Mississippi Valley
Scattered thunderstorms are possible in the lower Mississippi Valley, covering Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. A moist air mass could spark some rain and lightning this afternoon or evening. Texas and Oklahoma may also see a few similar storms, though none of them are expected to become severe.
Intermountain West
Thunderstorms could form in parts of the Intermountain West today. Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Wyoming are all included in the general thunderstorm outlook. These storms should remain isolated or scattered and stay on the ordinary side without turning severe.
Upper Midwest
Some storms are possible across the Upper Midwest as well. Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota, and Wisconsin fall into this category. Any activity that develops will likely bring brief rain and thunder but is not expected to produce severe weather.
Florida
Isolated to scattered storms could develop over the southern Florida Peninsula. Florida is under a general thunderstorms risk, so residents in the south may notice some rain and lightning. As elsewhere across the country, no severe threat is forecast for the state.
