Region

Great Lakes

Thunderstorm activity has already been trimmed back behind a cold front over the Lower Great Lakes and Ohio Valley. Any remaining storms in this region should stay relatively weak and isolated. Residents can expect calmer conditions as the front continues to move through.

Region

Southern Plains

Thunderstorms are possible across parts of the Southern Plains, including areas of Texas, Oklahoma, and nearby states. These storms are expected to remain in the general thunderstorm category without reaching severe levels. Localized brief heavy rain or gusty winds are the main things to watch for if storms develop.

Region

Western States

Ordinary thunderstorms are also possible across portions of the West, including California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. No severe weather is forecast in these areas. Most storms should stay isolated and produce only brief rain and occasional lightning.
