Isolated Thunderstorms Possible from New England to Texas Without Severe Risk
Nationwide
Severe storms are unlikely across the United States today and tonight on November 5th. A cold front will support isolated to scattered thunderstorms in several regions, but conditions are not expected to produce widespread strong or damaging weather.
Northeast
Isolated thunderstorms are possible across southern New England and nearby areas this morning into the early afternoon. Additional storms may develop this evening and overnight as the front advances, though any stronger gusts should remain brief and limited.
Mid-Atlantic
Thunderstorms are expected along and ahead of the front across the northern Mid-Atlantic this evening before spreading farther. Most activity should stay relatively weak, with only a slight chance of brief stronger winds from any deeper storms.
Carolinas
Storms will also be possible southward into the Carolinas overnight as the front continues its eastward progress. Residents can expect mainly brief showers and thunderstorms that are unlikely to become severe.
Southern Plains
A few thunderstorms are expected across Oklahoma and Texas through the day and into the evening, including scattered activity over Deep South Texas. Weak overall conditions should keep any storms from becoming severe.
